Here’s a roundup of actions taken by the Lassen County Board of Supervisors at its Tuesday, Dec. 16 meeting.

Closed session
The board met in closed session, but took no reportable action. Items under consideration included a conference with legal counsel regarding a significant exposure to litigation; a conference with labor negotiator Andrew Plett and the Lassen County Peace Officers Association; a conference with labor negotiator Andrew Plett and the United Public Employees of California; a liability claim by Wayne Plaster Agency; and a liability claim by Walker Telecomm Inc.

Recognition awards for December
The board recognized Health and Social Services employee Leslie Goni for 10 years employment with the county.

Reduced fee request
By a 4-1 vote (District 4 Supervisor Aaron Albaugh cast the lone nay vote), the board approved a rental agreement with Lassen Youth Wrestling for the Floral Building at the Lassen County Fairgrounds.

Information and consent calendar
After pulling several items for individual discussion, the board unanimously approved its consent calendar items including receiving and filing the personnel report; minutes from the Dec. 9 meeting; approval of funding for the Lassen County District Attorneys Office Mikailia Child Advocacy Program; approval of parcel map 2023-001; approval of an agreement extension between Lassen County the Lassen Superior Court for funding for the probation department; and receiving and filing miscellaneous correspondence.

Department reports
