Sheriff’s Office seeks public comment on OHV Grant Program

The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office seeks public comment regarding our participation in the California State Parks Off-Highway Vehicle Grant Program.

The 2026/2027 preliminary applications will be available for review at http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/.

The public review period will be March 3, through May 4, 2026.

The sheriff’s office is applying for grant funding to enhance patrol operations in areas where off-highway vehicle use is prohibited.

If awarded, the funds will support targeted enforcement efforts aimed at protecting natural resources, reducing environmental damage and promoting public safety in restricted areas.
