One of the South County’s biggest events arrives Saturday for the annual Doyle Days celebration.
The event, celebrating a day of fun, games and community spirit, begins with a pancake breakfast by the Doyle Fire Department at 7:30 a.m., the Doyle Days Parade at 10 a.m. and the World Famous Lizard Races at noon.
Other events include a car show, carnival games and prizes (prize drawing at 4 p.m.), a cornhole tournament, a magician, sack races, a Hulu-Hoop contest, a frozen T-shirt contest, two-person wheel barrel races, a cake walk, a presentation by Hope Wheels, a street dance featuring Rummy from 7 to 10 p.m. and food and craft vendors.
Hope Wheels at Doyle days features Hot Wheels drag races with winners collecting gift certificates to the Gaming Zone.
