According to a statement from the Susanville Police Department, approximately 1:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, SPD officers responded to a call for service in the area of Campbell Road.
During the course of the investigation, officers discovered an improvised explosive device inside a residence.
As a result of the investigation, an unidentified 45-year-old Susanville man was taken into custody, and he is currently being held in the Lassen County Jail on multiple charges related to this incident.
