The Herlong Public Utility District announces a vacancy on its board of directors due to a resignation. According to a statement from the district, it may fill the vacancy on or before Nov. 30. The board may appoint a director at-large at its Nov. 18 board meeting.
Persons interested in serving on the board of directors of a public utility district must be registered voters resigning within the district’s boundaries. Interested persons may submit an application for appointment to the board of directors.
Application forms may be obtained in the office of Herlong Public Utility District. 447-855 Plumas Road, Herlong, or from the District’s website at herlongpud.com.
Applications received by Nov. 12 may be included in the board packet in advance of the meeting. The directors also may accept and consider applications submitted at the Nov. 18, meeting before the item is considered.
