Supes consider Hanson family appeal of Williamson Act non-renewal at tomorrow’s meeting
The Lassen County Board of Supervisors meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27 at the Board Chambers, 707 Nevada St.
The board meets in closed session at 9 a.m. Items on the agenda include a conference with legal counsel regarding a significant exposure to litigation (if needed), and a conference with labor negotiator Andrew Plett regarding the Lassen County Peace Officers Association and the United Public Employees of California.
The public portion of the meeting begins at 9:30 a.m.

Agenda items include Recognition Awards for November (10 a.m.); consideration of an alternative funding structure for the Local Agency Formation Commission (allowing additional districts to join) (10:05 a.m.); the Hanson Family Trust 2021 protest of the Williamson Act non-renewal (10:15 a.m.); and an update from Plumas National Forest (10:30 a.m.)
Information and consent calendar
Items on the information and consent calendar include approval of $1,000 from Supervisor Aaron Albaugh’s discretionary fund for the Big Valley Bullseye; approval of $1,000 for the Lassen Grizzly Claybreakers and $500 for the Susanville Indian Rancheria Powwow by Supervisor Tom Neely; approval of minutes from the board’s Jan. 20 meeting; approval of an agreement between the county and Redwood Toxicology Laboratory, Inc.; approval of basic SWAT training for two Lassen County deputies ($9,700); and receive and file miscellaneous correspondence items.
Department reports
Items under department reports include adoption of the Multi-Jurisdictional Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan; approval of a memorandum of understanding between the Lassen County Big Valley Groundwater Sustainability Agency and the Modoc County Big Valley Groundwater Sustainability Agency; approval of the Lassen County Board of Supervisor’s Rules of Procedure; and information from the County Administrative Officer.
The board’s next meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb, 3.
