Who will the Lassen County Board of Supervisors appoint as the new County Administrative Officer when Richard Egan retires the end of this year?
No one knows. Eagan was not present at this meeting by prior arrangement and County Counsel Amanda Uhrhammer announced the board took no reportable action but gave direction to staff at the conclusion of the meeting. She also noted there were no Lassen County Fair manager candidates to be interviewed.
All five supervisors were present at the closed session as were Personnel/Risk Analyst Regina Schaap, Uhrhammer, and Deputy Clerk of the Board, Michele Yderraga.
LassenNews.com suspects others who attended the meeting were candidates for the CAO position. According to the minutes, those individuals include Chief Probation Officer Jennifer Banning, Director of Planning and Building Services Maury Anderson, Executive Assistant to the CAO/Budget Analyst Samantha McMullen ,Christopher Kellermeyer and Deputy County Administrative Officer Tony Shaw.
The board is expected to appoint Egan’s successor at a subsequent meeting.
