Here’s a roundup of actions taken by the Susanville City Council at its Wednesday, Aug, 6 meeting.

Councilmember Russ Brown was absent.
There was no closed session.
The council unanimously approved the Consent Calendar (minutes of the July 9 special meeting, the July 16 regular meeting and vendor and payroll warrants.
Public hearing
Item 7A
The council held a public hearing to receive comments on using Community Development Block Grant Coronavirus Response Round 2 and 3 for the city’s Memorial Park bathroom activity completion.
According to the staff report, “As part of that process, a public hearing must be held to give citizens the opportunity to make their comments known, have questions answered related to the grant, and solicit citizen input regarding the conclusion of grant activities completed under the contract.”
There was no public comment.
Item 7B
The council unanimously approved Resolution No. 25-6459 (approving a cost report of unpaid penalties) and Resolution No. 25-6460 (approving the recordation of a lien against property at 1005 North Street).
Item 7C
The council unanimously approve Resolution No. 25-6461 (approving a cost report of unpaid administrative abatement costs) and Resolution No. 25-6462 (approving the recordation of a special assessment lien against property at 1005 North Street).
New business
Item 9A
The council unanimously approved Resolution No. 25-6463 approving and accepting a donation of $1,000 from the Walmart Spark Good Fortune Foundation to the Susanville Fire Department. The money will be used for coloring books and crayons distributed when children visit the firehouse.
Item 9B
The council unanimously approved Resolution No. 25-6464 authorizing a budget amendment to the 2007 budget to begin the River Street Project.
Item 9C
The council unanimously approved Resolution No. 256465 authorizing a budget increase of $959,000 for the Johnstonville Road Water Main Replacement Phase One.
Item 9D
The council unanimously approved Resolution No. 25-6466 authorizing the city manager to enter into a contract with CivicPlus for Pro Premium agenda management software.

The council unanimously authorized the continuation of emergency action to remediate fire damage at the Memorial Park Ball Park.
