The Lassen Municipal Utility District schedules two meetings, Tuesday, Nov. 28

Tuesday will be a busy day for the Lassen Municipal Utility District Board of Directors.

The board will hold a special meeting at 1 p.m. Items on the agenda include a conference with legal counsel regarding two cases of significant exposure to litigation against the agency and the possible appointment of a general manager.

Then the publicly owned utility district hosts a regular meeting at 5:30 p.m.

Items on the agenda include public comment; approval of the 2022/2023 audit; staff reports; board member reports; approval of minutes from the Oct. 24 special meeting and the Oct. 24 regular meeting; a financial report (cash position report, check register, YTD budget/expense report for Skedaddle Substation project and key financial metrics); report from general manager (meetings attended, report on upcoming meetings and conferences, updates on major ongoing projects (Skedaddle Substation, Red Mesa Solar Project, Baseload Capital and Open Mountain Energy), Hayden Hill Line update and new building status update; Rescinding Resolution No. 2021-03 and updating district policy authorizing district officers to manage daily investments; add new policy No. 3035, investment of district funds; add new policy No. 3029, energy risk management policy; approve Safety Training Service contract ($2,372 per month); amend contract with SWCA Environmental Consultants ($37,725); adopt updated Renewable Portfolio Plan; approve 2022 Power Content Label and Power Source Disclosure; discuss LAFCo representation; discuss hiring Advanced Chemical Transport for Hayden Pill Pole disposal ($35,798.76); reschedule December board meeting due to Christmas holiday (change to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19); and future board meetings (Special board meeting 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, special board meeting, 8:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15 and regular board meeting, 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26.)
