Everyone has a smile to share as Santa, Susanville Rotary Club members and students celebrate the season at the Rotary Christmas Party.The Susanville Rotary Club continued its long tradition of hosting an early Christmas party for more than 50 local preschool and elementary school children selected by their teachers.
Santa’s elves sing Christmas carols for more than 50 students and their families at the Rotary Christmas Party.“This was a great invitation-only event,” said Penny Artz, a Rotarian and executive director of Lassen Senior Services. “We don’t select the children.”
Youngsters rush to greet Santa as he arrives at Lassen Senior Services to distribute gifts.This year’s party was held at Lassen Senior Services at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10. The Pizza Factory donated several varieties of pizza for the children and Susanville Supermarket donated ice cream. The Santa’s Village backdrop was provided by Milwood Florist and Nursery. Many Rotarians also participated in the festive event.

Every child received a present from Santa and had their picture taken with him, too.
“Santa was a big hit as usual,” Artz said
