If you’re a South County resident facing food insecurity, you’ll want to take advantage of two special, one-time, food give-away events this week.
Lassen County District 5 Supervisor Jason Ingram announced the events. He said the food comes thanks to an LPSCA grant awarded to the Herlong Resource Center.
The two events — held from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18 at the Doyle Community Center and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19 at the Milford Food Pantry — feature both fresh and frozen meat.
According to a Facebook post by Ingram, “We look forward to seeing you.”
