CHP does not have information on when highways affected by Park Fire will reopen

According to a Facebook post from the Susanville California Highway Patrol office at about 3:12 p.m. today, Monday, Aug. 5: “We do not have an ETA for the re-opening of the current closures of Highway 36 nor Highway 32, due to ongoing fire activity from the Park Fire.

“We are receiving numerous calls and inquiries daily, so we wanted to provide an update and assurance that all proactive measures are being implemented to open the roadways as soon as it is safe to do so.

“For road closure information, visit roads.dot.ca.gov.”
