Special Vacancy Notice – Appointment to Board of Directors, Herlong Public Utility District

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that one (1) vacancy exists on the Herlong Public Utility District as a result of Resignation. In compliance with Government Code Section 1780, the Herlong Public Utility District may fill the vacancies on or before November 30, 2025.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that in accordance with Government Code Section 1780 (h), the Herlong Public Utility District may appoint One (1) director at-large to the District Board at their regular meeting on November 18th, 2025;

Persons interested in serving on the board of directors of a public utility district must be registered voters resigning within the district’s boundaries. (Publ. Util Code sec, 15952). Interested people may submit an application for appointment to the Board of Directors.

Application forms may be obtained in the office of the Herlong Public Utility District. 447-855 Plumas Road, Herlong CA 96113 or from the District’s website:

Applications received by November 12th, 2025 may be included in the Board packet in advance of the meeting. The directors may accept and consider applications submitted at the November 18th, 2025, meeting before the item is considered.
